David has devoted his career to coaching organization and community leaders. He is known for his ability to create safe, fun, learning environments in which clients rapidly develop intimate connections with each other and gain important insights about themselves and their capacity to lead others. David is skilled at integrating theory, experience-based practice, and behavioral change coaching to accelerate the pace of development for adult leaders. His extensive personal travels, international experience and graduate education have positioned him to work well with global organizations.
Prior to joining Incite Learning, David served as a partner with The Exetor Group, a faculty member for the Lore International Institute and Managing Director of his own consulting practice, Leading Teams. David served as an adjunct faculty member in the University of Denver’s Daniels school of Business and School of Human Communication. He has worked with G.E.’s Medical Supplies Division, Mckinsey and Company, Ingersoll Rand, Proctor and Gamble, the EPA, The Colorado Trust, the State of Iowa and numerous smaller companies and municipalities. Prior to consulting work, David served in a managerial role in hospital-based Health Care and Outward Bound.
David received a Masters degree in Communication from the University of Denver where he has completed his course work for a Ph.D. His undergraduate studies in History were completed at the University of Vermont. David lives in Durango, Colorado with his wife Judith and 2 young sons, Ben and Seth. His interests include spending time hiking and skiing in the nearby Rocky Mountains, playing mandolin, rock and ice-climbing, cycling and reading.
